Dear Family & Friends,

As you may know, we have been planning a wedding. To make it special we've decided to get married in Santorini, Greece.

Although we want to have a simple wedding, we of course would love if our families and special friends could be with us to share in our day and enjoy the beauty of Santorini. We hope you can join us, therefore we are sending you this letter so that you can save the date.

We will be traveling to Santorini the week of June 30th, 2003 and plan to get married sometime that week. We have no definite date planned, we are simply narrowing down to the two weeks surrounding the 4th of July holiday to give everyone a time frame to plan on.

We realize that it may be difficult for you to come to Santorini, and we would understand if you cannot join us. But our fingers are crossed and we'll be delighted if you can! We think you'll find lots to do and enjoy in Santorini for as long as you choose to stay before or after the wedding.

We'll be sending a formal invitation in early March with more details, but for several reasons we need to get some idea of the number of guests far ahead of time. Santorini gets very busy (especially during the summer months) and so hotels and restaurants are harder to find. We have created a web page that we will continue to update (www.barshai.com/wedding) with links and info on Santorini (including accommodations and airfare) and the wedding that you might find useful.

I know an RSVP at this point would be considered tentative, but an approximate number of guests would help us a lot. Please send your RSVP by October 2002. We'd sincerely appreciate it!
